Honest Woodcraft in Every Detail You Live With

We shape solid timber into furniture and interiors that feel honest, grounded and made to last — measured to the millimetre and finished entirely by hand.

About Us

Rooted in Craft, Defined by Detail

Oakline Craftworks began at a single workbench in 2007. Today thirty-six carpenters, joiners, finishers and designers share one workshop — choosing boards by hand, cutting joints the slow way and fitting every piece ourselves.

How It Works

From First Sketch to Heirloom Piece

A clear four-stage path takes your idea from conversation to installation. You always know what happens next — and who is making it.

  • Design drawn around your space and habits
  • Graded solid timber from certified yards
  • Fitted by our own craftsmen, guaranteed five years

A proper conversation first

We visit your space, listen to how you live and work, and agree what success looks like — before a single board is cut.

Usually takes two to seven days

Drawn, sampled, costed

Measured drawings, timber samples in your light and one fixed quotation — no vague estimates, no surprises later.

Built at our own benches

Machine accuracy plus hand-cut joints, assembled and finished in our workshop and checked piece by piece.

Fitted cleanly, signed off together

Dust-controlled fitting by our own crew on the dates promised, finished with a walkthrough you sign off in person.

Stories from Our Clients' Homes

Clients value the solidity, the detail and the calm way we work — from first survey to final polish.

The shelving wall stopped us in our tracks. Oakline measured twice, fitted in two quiet days, and left the house cleaner than they found it.

FAQs

Questions Clients Ask About Our Work

Straight answers on process, materials and what to expect when you commission Oakline.

Fitted joinery, one-off furniture, staircases, interior panelling, doors and full timber rooms — every piece made to measure in our own workshop.

Yes — most of our work starts from a rough idea or a photograph. We turn it into measured drawings and timber samples for your approval first.

Single pieces take two to four weeks; fitted rooms and staircases typically run six to ten weeks from survey to sign-off.

Mostly oak, walnut, ash, cedar and pine from certified yards — plus reclaimed boards we re-grade in-house for character pieces.

Always. Our own fitters deliver, install and finish every commission, and walk the room with you before we call it done.
